IUE was nothing like the UAW. The IUE also had to merge with the CAW in I believe the early 2000s due to every dropping membership. The IUE only had a strike one or two times in the 60s/70s and really got shafted by the UAW during the GM bankruptcy fiasco.
@Allante715 I did say "UAW types," didn't I? But the CWA is even worse! Those imbeciles with the stupid red T-shirts went on strike against Verizon this summer for about a month, till they realized no one missed them, and they came back groveling with their tails between their legs. Too bad.
As I recall, didn't these UAW types go on strike, and walk out on the employer who put food on their tables, & roofs over their heads like clockwork every four years or so? And now they're whining about what "dedicated" employees they were? What goes around comes around, union boys.
@Unsharpened WOW , i know my unkel he worked at the GM Plant in Oshawa Ontario GM Plant where they maid the Silverado what a good truck , my father in Law owns one and he bought his brand new and now it has almost 500,000 Km's i dont know what that would be in Miles but its a lot but it go's to show you the qality of a GM truck , my unkel worked at that GM plant for almost 30 years , now he is retired but i am not to shure what he is doing now .
Barak Obama? You imbeciles should be flipping hamburgers. Weren't these the same slobs who used to go out on strike every four years? I have NO sympathy for them.
I was inside this plant! In 1999 I worked on the Dashboard Hangers(it was in developmental stage at Select Tool and Die)and Clutch Fans on a CNC Lathe(made at Millat Industries in 2003) for the Envoy and Trailblazer that was built in this plant. Faulty Clutch Fans caused us to go to this GM Plant on a Sunday Afternoon to pick the problem cars off the lot. It was then I asked the Team Leader who worked at GM how much he made. "$25 and hour" he said. "$50 an hour today since its Sunday" he smiled.

UAW? Moraine Assembly were represented by the IUE-CWA. At least spend the time to get the correct union right. Jesus Christ

@rpy75
If that was the case, the South should have low unemployment. What a moron.

@ehunt60
Yea those damn UAW workers at Moraine. Oh wait, Moraine was IUE-CWA. If you couldn`t get that straight, how can I trust the rest of your opinion.
