Hello Church Of Scientology, this is a message from Anonymous.

It is time for us to review the year of 2008, to establish how the game is progressing.

1) You had some epic wins with your high profile converts, John Travolta and Tom Cruise. Getting Tom to jump up and down on Oprah's sofa was a stroke of PR genius, which we will be totally unable to match.

We had a celebrity win in our own way, with the return of Jason Berghe to society.

Doubtless the celebrity tactic has bought more money into your organisation, but it has also exposed all the celebrity-followers to our own messages.

As such, whilst you have the money, we have also gained exposure, and at no cost or risk to ourselves. We win, and at the same time, you fail.

2) Documents released to the UK Border Agency showed that the Church of Scientology has no regard for the laws of the United Kingdom in relation to your personnel abusing the Visa system further showed your lack of regard for any laws other than your own. You fail.

3) Your attempt to ban the sale of the book 'The Complex' in Europe was successful. Well done. This was a piece of masterful litigation utilising the European libel laws.
However, you failed to realise that the Republic of Ireland is still within Europe's Internet sphere of influence. Consequently, sales of the book from Irish publishers have risen dramatically, whilst at the same time your suppressive action has drawn even more attention to the publication. We win, and at the same time, you fail.

4) Your attempts to close down the CHANS were an epic fail, and doomed from the start. Did you really think that one organisation, be it a Church a Government or a Corporation could censure the Internet? Credit to you for trying, but it was always going to be a non-starter. We win.

5) Switching to 'Dead-Agenting' of sources on the Internet showed you that discrediting opposition is more in line with 'the Tech' and is easier to do. However, like the Church Of Scientology, Anonymous is self-monitoring, with many more eyes to watch it's own progress, and linking videos, posts and blogs to pornographic searches is too much work for the few personnel you have to 'handle' us. The result is, at best a poor effort. We win.

6) Symbolism. The Guy Fawkes mask is probably now more related to Anonymous than the V-for-Vendetta film it originated from. In the space of a year it has grown more symbolic than the double-cross that has represented Scientology for the last 50 years. We win.

7) You have David Miscavige. Everyone else has Mark Bunker (The Wise Beardy Guy). Which one would you be least afraid to go bowling with? We win.

8) Bunker Mentality. With the passing of ordnance to prevent protesting outside Gold Base, you are showing classic signs of a rearguard action. You are attempting to protect the core personnel of your organisation from the truths of the real world. Playing discordant organ notes to deter would-be peaceful protesters is doing more harm to your already sleep-deprived and overworked RPF personnel than it ever could to anybody in the 'WOG world'. Further, these attempts to ride roughshod over the Freedom of Speech rights in the Constitution of the the United States will earn you more enemies, even if they are not our allies. We win, and at the same time, you fail.

To sum up, the haemorrhage has begun. Personnel, documents, money and kudos. You are losing them all. The more you tighten your grip on the followers of Scientology, the more people will slip through your fingers. It has taken only one year, and we consider our pursuits to be fruitful.

9) While Co$ has spent (and continues to spend) millions of it's parishioner's 'donations' to create it's own truths and spread it's lies and Black PR, defend its multitude of crimes against humans-at-large etc. etc., they fail.
The truth continues to leak out everywhere, in truly minimalist fashion, through ever multiplying groups of dedicated folks who cannot, and will not be cowed by the cults ever-desperate tactics.
Let the lights shine!
