I hope you got an A! That was awesome! :) (I'm an elementary music teacher and was looking for a short video to help my students understand the Underground Railroad before learning a couple spirituals. Found many that weren't good... thanks!!)
I bet if there was slavery now the Underground Railroad would be a reality show. People would vote for their favourite slave and the winner would get freedom and a new house.
I re-watched this little project by these kids. It's pretty friggn' COOL! I hope the got an A! It's a disgusting tale, but it is history. We should know it, so we do NOT repeat it! I'm white a snow, but a human, and to think of that history, is pretty BRUTAL.
I am an English teacher. This is going to be extremely helpful in my classroom as part of my introduction to the biography of Harriet Tubman. Thank you!
That was AWESOME! I always thought the underground railroad, automatically brought them to Canada. I thought the northern US had slavery, early on, but had given it up before the South. At least Canada never had slavery, eh?

@RGestwa I was hoping my Canada didn't do that. My Canada is full of promise and equality. I hope that's where we;re at now.

@ralphyization actually we did, it was just too expensive (feeding housing clothing slaves) to keep it up
