  • Nice job,my washer won't star help

  • If it is a similar model to mine, check the wiring right where it goes into the motor. That part sometimes comes loose according to a Sears tech I've known

  • Very easy fix, thats what got me in the appliance repair business.P.S great job. What was the cost for the pump?

  • I think it was around $60

  • Ouch! Fortunately that appears to have been a small leak so I suppose not too much of your place was flooded. Dihydrogen monoxide is such a merciless stuff. It will find its way no matter what and expensive damage can result from just a few liters of it in the wrong place.

  • It was just a very small leak but it did left a good sized puddle in the laundry room. My dad had mopped up the puddle earlier but he had to go to work right after we moved the washing machine outside the front door.

  • I love your sense of humour. "I'll get that screw later.." :-)

  • You forgot to mention, once you take the two screws out of the control panel, pull the control panel forward, then you will be able to tilt it backwards. Some control panels have two screws in the front also. P.S. If your into fixing washing machines and camping, check out my blog at campingfunwithcarl.blogspot.com.

  • Sure wish I had watched your video before attempting to remove my washers’ cover. I did everything you said the other guy in your video did. Thanks for the help.

  • Thank you for taking the time to post this. I should have looked this up before dusfiguring the seam at the front--just like you predicted. You saved me a nice chunk of change!

  • Unfortunately went right to the incorrect way of taking mine apart like you mentioned. Thanks for the posting the video! Once again, YouTube was my last resort for how to fix something and ended up being correct.

  • Thanks so much! Really nice of you to post this! I've never taken a washer apart, so you saved me a lot of trouble using the ol' "trial and error" method! lol

  • Finally a video that makes sense; great job! I have a noisy spin cycle (and noisy at other times, but this at least teaches me how to open the darn thing! Thanks! Is there a belt on a Maytag Atlantis washer that might need tightening? Manual doesn't show any of this!
