The riders are escorting a truck with a flatbed trailer as it hauls two 40-foot, steel I-beams from Post Falls, Idaho, to Silverdale, WA.
The structural supports are remnants of the World Trade Center's twin towers that were destroyed in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
The beams are on the last leg of their journey from New York City to Silverdale on the Kitsap Peninsula, where the community plans to use them in a 9-11 memorial.
