I crate trained my black lab puppy. When she was growing up, she would volunterily go into the crate at night and would han out in it for a good amount of time (with the door open). Eventually she outgrew it, at which point she was well trained and didn't need it.

Ok, me being a 4-H dog trainer, it's fine to do this because of teething on furniture, you people that think its imprisonment should not own dogs as this is apart of the training. I know as I am the beginning trainer. With 3 years showing my dog, this is fine. Btw, cute pup. I love the goldens.

people complaining about a "cage" When I got my puppy they told me to buy a cage for him to sleep... They call this a crate, no? I used a baby gate like this adorable golden. My bernese is 7 month old, huge and he still hiccups sometimes. SO cute!

Those who think it's cruel that the puppy is in a "Cage" are idiots, It's just in it's sleeping area. Teaching the puppy that this is your area to sleep. :l

these idiots are wanna be PETA fuckers. really people the dog is in a gated area not a cage. and a cage that big isnt animal abuse. wanna see animal abuse walk into a kill shelter. all the dogs are in cages.
