Thank you! I've heard that there is no cabin filter in 1999/2000 Focus. Is this true? I have a smell that I think comes from the AC. Could it help to install or replace the cabin filter?

nice video, what are the real benefits of having a cabin air filter though? and is this hard to do?

It sounds as if you need new clips, they do tend to break from time to time. Your local Ford dealer will probably have them in stock and shouldn't cost too much, relatively speaking.

I have no cabin filter knowledge on the Focus after the 2004. MicronAir doesn't manufacture a filter for the focus after the 2004.

As you can see from the video that replacing the filter is quite simple. In most cases the cabin air filter can be replaced in under 5 minutes, the Ford Windstar filter was replaced in 51 seconds.
The purpose of the cabin air filter is to filter out dust, pollen and other micron sized particles from the air that enters the cabin of your vehicle. This is the air that you breathe so the benefit would be that you are breathing in fresher, cleaner air. A carbon filter would also minimize odors
