Not the greatest annimation but it gets the point accross.
As you can guess from the tittle, this tutorial will demmonstrate the easiest method for creating kareoke text in After Effects, you should probably put a bit more effort into it than I did though. There is going to be a follow up to this tutorial, but for the momment I'm still working on how to do some of the more advanced annimations my self, so more on that probably after Spring Break for me (Next week, hoorah)
Disclaimer - Oh wait, suck it youtube I own almost 95% of this.
Question: does After Effects have the ability to place a marker at a specific keyframe on the timeline like Vegas does? I reckon that would help with the timing gruntwork...

@mike50333 Umm. yeas... IDK about quite how vegas does it, i worked with vegas 9, and I had to open another window to place key frames for things that weren't like opacity... Never tried too hard. But yes there is a timeline that you can place key frames on.

Good tut. I like your sound effects. Really really quiet though. At least for me. Yeah, youtube, suck it.

Sorry about that, I forgot to clean up the audio, it's not an effect it's the sounds of my room and the gain from having the mic being so hot that I can have it away from my body. I don't have a puff filter so the only other option is to speak over the mic so the puffs from T's and P's don't cause as much static. Next time though I'll do some work with the audio and boost it up.
