Popping the Cherry- Street Fighter 2010

This is the premiere episode of my series Popping the Cherry. It will be a show of me playing games I've never played for the first time and commenting on them. Seems more like a rant with a game attached, but it's fun :)

You are simply awful at this game. At times it looked like you weren't even trying to dodge enemies.

This is a great game. Great graphics, completely original gameplay, tight responsive controls, varied levels, and memorable music. It's challenging, but don't confuse that with being hard. The enemies move in extremely predictable patterns; maybe you're just a little slow and couldn't figure that out?

It shows a screen at first Ken and Target and whatever the Target is you need to get enough power to kill the certain monster in that level.

This game is awesome...I wish they would make a next-gen title with the IP...instead use correct names like Kevin instead of Ken, and change the story back to the original....

Hmmm I feel like making a CG movie with this character...dunno why. @_@

To be honest, I thought this game was under appreciated. Granted, it is incredibly difficult in many spots. However, the backgrounds are nicely detailed, the enemies are widely varied, I found the controls to be fairly tight, and the music is some of the best I've heard on the NES. Add on a decent-enough plot, and I think it's one of the best on the NES. Of course, it could just be the 8-bit-nostalgia-obsessed 10-year old taking control again and saying that.

Actually, this game isn't as bad as many people say. Having to look for the exit is simply another part of the challenge. Also, the enemies aren't on pattern as much as other games, meaning more of a fun challenge. Check out the speed runs for the game that I have uploaded for some strategies!
