This Short was Originally Released in October 2000 created with Macromedia Flash 4.

The Story...
Genryu's Shino, an assassin who decided to retire and lead a normal life has one small problem; the Yakuza see his actions as an act of betrayal and now wants him dead. The Yakuza Boss places a 100 million dollar bounty on his head and his mysterious dragon blade. Now Genryu's must once again kill but not for money, survival. Once an Assassin, Always an Assassin.

Yea. Like a lot of the other commenters, I came here because I remember this from the golden era of Flash. Macromedia Flash. Newgrounds, SFDT, and the first games like Pico. I saw this long ago, when I was, jeez, must have been about twelve. The name came back to me out of nowhere and sure enough, it seems other animators have seen it as a pioneer piece. They say Internet content is forgotten in two weeks, but it's been about half my life, and this stands out as one of the best early animations.

What a trip, I was there when this came out. I was a freshman in highschool. It was quite an achievement for the time. I mark this as one of the many indie projects that drove me in the direction of flash and eventually video production, which I do now for a living. I even moderated your boards for a bit as Squinty! Lets all have a ten year anniversary party!

This was and STILL is amazing, the action and character design makes me wish there was more. There is also enough story to make you want to know more about the characters pass and future, these are animations that should get big.

This was the best flash animation for its time! I discovered it at a young age like some of the other people here. I remember you creating this to compensate for the fight scenes in The Matrix not being enough. I always wanted it to have a game adaptation . . .
