www.Shopsmith.com and www.WoodcraftPlans.com are happy to present this series of free woodworking videos to our fellow woodworkers across the world. This simple band sawn jewelry box is easy to figure out just from this video -- measurements can be quite varied, as it is the concept which is important. Enjoy and be safe in the shop.

  • Very cognitive video. But many things can be found here: alturl.com / 3z6sr (delete spaces)

  • What kind of clamp is that?

  • Shopsmith 11" Bandsaw is for sale online for $490. Beautiful unit, but that's a hefty chunk of change.

  • I know THAT YOU MADE THIS COMMENT 2 YEARS AGO.. bUT FOR THE RECORD...i GOT A MAGNA (SHOPSMITH)

BANDSAW FOR $75 ON CRAIGS LIST..

CLEANED IT UP NEW BEARINGS.. A 30 YEAR PLUS UNIT RUNS LIKE NEW AND AM MAKING JEWERLY BOXES. sURE YOU CAN BUT NEW FOR $500 OR EVEN 10+ FOR $200..BUT THESE UNITS ARE ALMOST INDESTRUCTABLE..FOR WHAT A GENERIC CHINA VERSION CAN BE HAD YOU CAN HAVE ONE MADE IN AMERICA.

FROM A PROUD AMERICAN USING A 10ER AND AMERICAN MADE MACHINES. :))

  • nice work! I wish my band saw was that big. I will have to try this but on a smaller block of wood. Keep up the great woodworking!

  • Great Job !

  • Well done. I have and use that same band saw in my own shop. I bought it used at an auction about twelve years ago and it still works great. It has done alot of work for me, and Im glad that its one of my tools.

Nice beginning intro into woodworking, enjoyed watching. Thanks.

  • You're an idiot. Table saw, jointer, planer, radial arm, router, miter saw, shaper, drum sander. All way more expensive than a descent band saw. So WTF are you talking about.

  • thanks ..excellent work hooray for you, melvin

  • Good initiative in creating a woodworking video. I would take an extra minute to address safeties for the bandsaw guard and safe disposal of the finish rag. It's even good to show a little mistake, because you can explain if certain mistakes really matter or maybe even show how the project can be repaired.
