  • Santa Barbara is obviously supposed to be a breeding ground for peregrines or else they wouldn't survive there.

  • I know this reply is old but SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My girlfriends mother had two chihuahua puppies. They were both eaten this weekend by a peregrine falcon, Her uncle didnt not know what killed the first one until he caught the falcon killing the second one. Puppies were four mos. old. They are dangerous to our pets. I hate that we cant really do anything about it because they are protected. I think I would have killed it myself if I would have been there Santa Barbara is not supposed to be a breeding ground for predatory birds who hunt our pets

  • Pergrines like high ledges so citys are natural and have an abundance of pigeons. Pigeons crap all over making everything messy. Peregrines have nested in citys for a long long long time. Idiot!

  • oh shut up. Falcons are overpopulated now. The gov doesnt step in and stop the falcon growth. We even have them in city areas now!

  • FU Troy

  • stfu

  • EXACTLY!!! leave the things alone stop helping them out with stupid nest boxes!!!!

  • True, their numbers have raised since awhile back.

And of course I wouldn't like it. But I wouldn't scream, "OH HEY LETS KILL ALL THE EAGLE OWLS NOW," just because it ate my dog, and that is pretty much impossible since there are none around my area.

And well, there's not much you can do about it now. Just let nature take it's course. And I mean, even if they didn't put up a nest box, they'd still find another place to nest, I'm sure.

Just leave the peregrines alone. D:

  • Look up fool theres 1000's of peregrines! Would you like it if a eagle owl ate your dog?
