@keveydaking No of course he didn't despite his size lol, he actually asked Hitler via a telegram (which Martin Bormann reads to Hitler in the film) if he could take over from Hitler as Fuhrer due to the fact that the Reich was crumbling, and if Goring hadn't received a reply to his message by late that evening he would take over power.

@keveydaking In the film he only appears once, in the 'Jodl objects' scene. His name was Hermann Goering (or Goring), he was the head of the Luftwaffe (the Nazi Air Force) and one of Hitler's closest and most trusted men until he betrayed him (there's a scene about that in Downfall).
