@Grippli78 ps2 has extra stuff which is awesome

That "archaic design" and "awful controls" allowed for the horror part of survival horror. RE4 is just a shooter and does not deserve the name. Ok review but please respect the source material rather than pissing all over it.

"DON'T COME!" I'm sure that's ripped straight off Sega's House Of the Dead 2 Dreamcast???!!!!!

I'm planning on getting this game, but not sure whether to get the ps2 version or this. Which one should I get?

@y26op Rofl nope @ controls. You always hold up to make your character, surprisingly go forward, while you press left or right for your character to go HIS left or right. How is this bad controls? By god forbid gamers who can't play something so basic. I never base my reviews on game companies. And the fans praise this as the best RE game? Wow that's a laugh, go talk on resident evil forums. Try not to speak up for them. And again, I agree it's a great to amazing game.

@armyevil I don't play the old games. Have played them, don't care to now. Survival Horror shouldn't mean waiting on your ass for something interesting to happen. I don't think many people got shook up about running down several halls and walking through several doors, awaiting something interesting. RE4 has been said to be the best game by many gaming companies, reviewers, and fans. Why do you think they ported the damn thing so much? What other game in the series received that kind of love.

@armyevil Yes, the controls were fine if you like old school retro control figuration. Press right, character goes right, press left, character goes left? No, not exactly. You have turn your character in place by rotating the analog stick or D-pad. Watching your character spin in place in order to face the desired direction. Making it as robotic as you can get. When running, the characters can be turned without always stopping, but the turning is like driving a car with fucked up steering.

@y26op This game was never about shooting every single zombie with the most dangerous fire arm you can get. Durr its a "survival horror" if you never noticed. Running away is what you're suppose to do. And again, if you don't like this. Don't play it. The game was original, fresh, and not generic. Also if you don't like puzzle solving then I can see something wrong here :(. No Re4 is not the greatest RE game. You're only basing it on action. if this is not ur cup of tea, then don't playit

@y26op Good sir, I am sorry that you felt bored in a game that wasn't suppose to be action based. Get out of the box you live in. No but seriously I am sorry if you didn't find it enjoyable. Controls were awful? I still fail to understand. Never had any issue, press right, character goes right, press left, character goes left (NOT FROM CAMERA PERSPECTIVE). If you fail at this then please... please stick to call of duty for the ps3/xbox.

@armyevil The old PS1 games controls were awful. And, the games were boring. The camera angles were awkward. In the old games... It was about as exciting as watching the monitors of security cameras setup in hallways. People go through doors, and walk through halls. Oh, you get to shoot a zombie every 45 minutes. RE4 is the greatest RE game ever. Capcom says they'll never return to the play-style of the original PS1 games. RE6 is supposed to be double the intense action as 4 & 5.
Nintendo Gamecube and SEGA Dreamcast are the top most underrated consoles ever

Even though this game was remade for the Wii, for some reason I want to play the Gamecube version. 0_0
