A very underrated band. I agree with kevihart2. They do have a cult following. Including me!!

I love the Fixx and their music, but lately, but lately they seem to endorse the totaliatorism they abhore.

... I've played , listened to guitar for 40 yrs . ...Jamie is one of the best rhythm guitar players in rock history. There are many great artists , bands who get ,have gotten little or no airtime ..besides the Fixx , Conjure One , Balligomingo , are just 2 of them ...play on

@numinaII Too sincere. I think that's it. Their sincerity is the opposite of the hip disaffected attitude required of most Brit pop in order to draw the favor of critics. They're simply more mature then most of rock.

Too cerebral? Too English? Too different? Maybe just too sincere. The Fixx were light-years ahead of most of their 80s contemporaries. Can't wait for "Beautiful Friction"!

The only other band with such hopeful, intelligent music is Rush.
Possibly my favorite Fixx song and that's saying something. Most underrated band in history.

This band deserves alot more recognition than they`ve received. At least they have a cult following. They`re actually bigger in the states than their native U.K..I just wish others could experience the same bliss I receive when tuning into The Fixx. "Calm Animals" is a classic album.
