Guess we know why your starter sounded so weak when we met up that day. Heck of a lot of spin time when those glows were shot. The 28MT can't handle that kind of abuse. It's one reason i don't like them over the direct drive 27MT monster starters. They'll spin and spin until the batteries keel over, and not have anywhere near the damage the 28MT would have.

@iamdave0887 Yeah that starter had taken a LOT of abuse since I had it installed in 08..and it was a scrapyard pull then, so it's possible it was well abused already. I can't complain, it served me well, but I certainly did beat the piss out of it for a long time before replacing the GP's.

@iamdave0887 Replaced it last week. It hung on for a long while after our vacation but was getting slower and slower. Yeah, even slower than it was believe it or not. :) If it wasn't for my 8 new glowplugs it would have never started at the end.
