The answer is that there may be some decorations but Hannukah is not a major holiday as is Christmas. It takes on a larger importance only because it is part of a holiday season thus, culturally, but not under religious law, it sort of becomes a Jewish major holiday at Christmas season. The most common decoration is to put an electric menorah in the window.

Well Im not Jewish but Im always watching hannukah videos this time of year for some reason..maybe its because Im so intrigued with the menorah and the prayer!
Just out of curiosty do people of the Jewish religon decorate outside with lights like I would at Christmas time or any kind of decorations outside?
And if not why? Sorry if my question offends you? Well anyways hope you and your family have a happy hannukah :)
