Exactly why do you get them apart only to sew them back together. is it just to piece the end corners .. those could be done before the wings are placed, then sew up the center... I don't get the reason for cutting and resewing?

I don't understand...how is the final product when all assembled quilted? You don't quilt over the design because it would flatten it out. Thanks for info....looking forward to trying this project.
