Not sure how you're teaching this, but it isn't an example of how to give; the widow was Jesus' example of how the Scribes were devouring widows' houses. There are no words of praise - that must be read into the text; there are no adjectives, nor adverbs to describe how she felt. The context is one of Jesus condemning the Scribes for devouring widows' houses. If we teach this as a way to give we are no better than the Scribes of Jesus' day. Think about it.
