Catfishin has been slow lately but when I thought of using creek chubs for bait its great...when everything else fails go to the creeks with your throw net and cast for the shiners suckers and chubs. Waited patiently for this 10 pound flathead catfish for over 8 hours but when I about dozed off and ready to quit I heard the sound of steel clanging against the rocks and my pole was moving toward the water I jumped up and took the battle for the bounty...I was fishing the west side of the dam at evergreen lake north of Bloomington Ill on rt 39.
