I love this stripped down version. It reminds me of the first time I heard it, just before learning that my husband, who had been fighting cancer, only had days to live. It didn't seem possible that could be "the best part" of my life, but I was lucky to have had him in my life and luckier still to have been able to be there for and with him till the end. She was right. Every day can be the best part of your life, if you let it.

As I bitch and moan about the relatively minor problems and challenges in my life, this song yanks me back to reality and reminds me of how good I have it. Only as talented an artist as Susan Werner could do this so beautifully. Thanks, Susan!

Finally read the credits and came seeking.

Outstanding. I first heard it performed by the performing trio "Red Molly" (highly recommended), and loved it. After Red Molly's version, it was interesting to hear it as it was originally written... Again, Outstanding.
