@3dasylum - To use 1 monitor you need a KVM Switch (Keyboard-Video-Mouse Switch). Some are expensive, but my Biogear was $20 on sale and is working fine for me.

You need to add another rule to it. You told it computer A is to the left of Computer B, but you never told it computer B is to the right of computer A. It knows how to go one way but not the other. Basically, take the settings you now have in it and make another line that is the opposite of the existing one.

do you have to set it up on both computers the same way ?

The one with the keyboard and mouse attached is set up as the server, the other is the client. On Windows, the interface has an option to switch between client/server. Use Google to find out more.

how do u find out Ur screen name

The screen name is the host name aka the computer name. On XP: Start - right click my computer - properties - Computer name tab. Vista: Start - right click computer - properties - look next to "Computer name". I think an IP could be used instead, but only do that if you use static IP addressing, not DHCP.
