A video showing a couple of knives made by Grohmann Knives of Pictou, Nova Scotia, Canada. One is the classic D.H. Russell Belt Knife. The other is one of their Outdoor Knives. Both great knives! The video was shot with my Nikon D90.

  • Pronounced "Pick-Toe" not "Pick-Two". ;) Good video.

  • @beardedcanuck Thanks!

  • i have to say i prefer my good old murphy skinner over the russel canadian belt knife . i have both and the murphy just takes a better edge but much respect to the original these are my fav all time deer hunting knives perfect design

  • @m82wings Great info! Thanks for watching and for your comments!

  • Great vid for a great line of knives. The Russell fillet knife are also of very good quality. The quality inspectors at grohmann sure are fussy, the seconds are a steal of a deal.

  • @northshorerathunta Thanks! I know what you mean about the seconds. They are a great deal!

  • anytime. im an american with strong family ties in Canada. Whats not to love about the great white north? great hunting and fishing, these wonderful knives, tim hortons, but most of all you amazing people gave the world mans greatest sport HOCKEY!!! lol but to answer the guy below about the blade steel ...its all about preference the steel used for the belt knife is great however carbon steel will take a better edge and is easier to hone. it does require more care tho.

  • Designed my D.H. Russell and Herr Grohmann.

Sorry got to give the German guy credit too.

All in all a fantastic knive, I own a $500 Puma white hunter, but I still prefer my Canadian Boat Knife.
