Putting candles out using sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and acedic acid (vinegar). Shown to my 6th period Physics class (holla), The carbon dioxide created is heavier than the air around it and thus sits inside of the container. Fire needs oxygen, so you can put out candles by pouring CO2 on them. To the tune of Benny Goodman's Sing Sing Sing (for Ian).
