From ABBA's last studio album, as a group. Benny and Frida decided to get divorced that year, and it was two years since Bjorn and Agnetha had anounced their divorce. Both Bjorn and Benny remarried.

The visitors album was released the end of November 1981. They decided to take a break, and unfortionatly they never got back together again.
I think this was their best album and it is a shame they didn't have the energy to go on as a group!

I'm hearing images, I'm seeing songs
No poet has ever painted
Voices call out to me, straight to my heart
So strange yet we're so well acquainted
I let the music speak, with no restraints
I let my feelings take over
Carry my soul away into the world
Where beauty meets the darkness of the day
Where my mind is like an open window
Where the high and healing winds blow
From my shallow sleep the sounds awake me
I let them take me
(Let them wake me, let them now, let them take me)
Let it be a joke
Let it be a smile
Let it be a farce if it makes me laugh for a little while
Let it be a tear
Let it be a sigh
Coming from a heart, speaking to a heart, let it be a cry
Some streets are emptiness, dry leaves of autumn
Rustling down an old alley
And in the dead of night I find myself
A blind man in some ancient valley
I let the music speak, leading me gently
Urging me like a lover
Leading me all the way
Into a place

Where beauty will defeat the darkest day
Where I'm one with every grand illusion
No disturbance, no intrusion
Where I let the wistful sounds seduce me
I let them use me
(All illusion, no disturbance, no intrusion)
Let it be a joke
Let it be a smile
Let it be a farce if it makes me laugh for a little while
Let it be a tear
Let it be a sigh
Coming from a heart, speaking to a heart, let it be a cry
Let it be a tear
Let it be a sigh
Coming from a heart, speaking to a heart, let it be a cry
Let it be the joy of each new sunrise
Or the moment when a day dies
I surrender without reservation
No explanations
No questions why
I take it to me and let it flow through me
Yes, I let the music speak
I let the music speak

  • Dallas I missed this one completely and it is fantastic I believe its the first time I have heard it, Great job and wonderful slides

    Jim

  • This was about the second or third slide show I had done Jim! We didn't even know each other at that time. And to think in this short amount of time you have become one of my very best friends!! Thanks for checking my old vids!! Nice to hear it again actually!

    YOUR FRIEND,

    -Dallas

  • My first selection of all ABBA song together with Dancing Queen

  • This is one of my very first video slide shows Elisa! I love the song as well. Frida has such a wonderful voice, and this song showcases it! Thanks for the visit and comment my friend!

    -Dallas

  • This piece is beautiful, and in retrospect one of course can hear the Chess sounds in these later works.. And in my opinion, Fridas voice fits in the chess style perfectly, and I wonder if it was ever discussed if she'd be a part of the Chess ensemble? Does anyone know?

  • I don't think Frida was asked to the best of my recolection. I think Frida's voice matured as she matured, and was well suited for much of B&B later works though. If I can find out I will let you know though. One of my ABBA friends will know for sure I am sure. Thanks for your visit and comment.

  • Frida has such a moving and rich voice. I would have loved to hear more of Frida's awesome voice combined with Abba's last work. Thank you Dallas!

  • The lyrics is just beautiful and sooo true! "I surrender without reservation, No explanations, no questions why... I take it to me and let it flow through me - Yes, I let the music speak, I let the music speak..." Thank them for these words! "I've often wondered how did it all start, who found out that nothing can capture a heart like a melody can? Well, whoever it was, I'm a fan..." Thank them for the music!!! ;)

  • Восхитительно!Я и забыл ,что у них есть такая красивая штучка.спасибо что напомнили.Многотемность,это вообще,то,что мне всегда нравилось.Браво.

  • I think if they reunite they definitely would not be able to have the energy they had to tour. But I would think they would go back to doing a studio album.

  • Anni Frid Lyngstad is the classiest woman in the world.

  • This a song of songs, music about music, and it speaks straight to my heart. It is one of my favourite abba songs.

  • Ilike to see young people get familiar and enjoin g ABBA, I was there for every new song....70's and 80's the best....

  • Beautiful, classic ABBA. I've been listening to them since I was a teen in the early 70's, just as they began their career in America, but I've never heard this particular piece. It is marvelous, and your video is artfully done. Thank you very much for your work!
