  • In SG-1, at some point, they started using some ceramic plating to protect from staff weapon blasts. They just put it underneath the vest, so it wasn't visible at all. I don't want some huge armour that makes the characters look like football players, if that's that you're planning. That's just lame! Also, it wouldn't be Stargate.

  • i dunno why you guys are getting so pissed about this armor lol, i'd much rather go into combat wearing that than SGC uniform lol

  • Or, they took it straight out of Star Trek Voyager

  • That is correct! The U.S.S Defiant NX-74205 had ablative armor way before any stargate episode ever aired. Stargate always ripped of ideas from Star Trek to further the story.

  • Ablative armour looks pwnage but will we be able to choose between that and normal SG-1 type uniform? I hope so!

  • I agree with most people here the game im keeping track of is STARGATE worlds not "Ironman the stargate worlds incident"...

How on earth did they get Robert Cooper to praise it I will never know!

  • thats realy not very human like looks more like a anubis drone to me the only thing the show tells u about ther armour is the in 1 of the episodes they put a potective sheet inside the vests that they wear

  • well you told me, my mistake.

  • No lawsuit here my friend, it was also used in a few Ironman comics...there is no copyright on the name due to the fact that the word Ablation is a real word.

Ablation is defined as the removal of material from the surface of an object by vaporization, chipping, or other erosive processes.

In other words, anyone can use the term ablative armor.

  • hmm i smell a lawsuit, haha ablative armour is the name of the armour on a ship called the defiant in star trek deep space 9.
