Cobra vs. Mongoose

In Thailand, at a snake farm, we watched a mongoose wrestle a cobra.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND: This video is from Thailand. Neither the cobra NOR the mongoose were injured in this demonstration. They do this demonstration live every day, multiple times a day. By American standards, this might be considered cruel, but I am posting it here because it is INTERESTING to watch. It is the same reason you came here to see the video.

This is kind of a lame fight. Neither the mongoose nor the cobra really have enough room to dance so instead the mongoose simply grabs the cobra's head and the handler makes her let go. The National Geographic video is a lot better in that respect.

That dude's got some balls, too. Cobras must recognize a mongoose because as soon as the dude dropped it in, the snake wanted OUT and nothing to do with Rikki Tikki Tavi.

That would be interesting to see... As long as the cobra doesn't get hurt... Or the mongoose... I like mongoose and I like snakes... Even though mongoose eats cobras it still would suck to watch them just let the cobra die :(
