The Jazz Clarinet of Richie Howard

On 27th June 2008 Allen Beechey's Bright Stars of Jazz performed at the Upton-0n-Severn Jazz Festival and this dazzling clarinet feature "Body And Soul" was fortunately captured for the record. The full band (adding cornet and trombone) is wonderful, putting themselves in the Chicago Dixieland category as per Eddie Condon and Wild Bill Davison, and their style and capable technique make them eminently suitable successors to the masters.
