My thanks to Donna (my wife) who contributed a vocal track to this song. We'll do more I hope. The guitar is a brand new Godin, 5th Avenue acoustic. The lead uses two tracks recorded separately. The video shows just one.
The original music is available on CD Baby...

I've been down and out before
I've been high, begging for more
I have rode a Greyhound for you
For your eyes and for your body too
I have known that I could never win
I have won; I played it with a grin

I have joined you in that endless far away
Hiding in the night, waiting for the day
And I have heard my voice stricken soft with fear
Whispers in the darkness, oh please can you hear?
Seasons come and seasons go, and laughter warms the tears
On it goes, on throughout the years

I was old before my time
I have lied, told stories in rhyme
Then I saw a wonder to behold
That I wasn't ever made of gold
And in that vision, I found a way to pray
I am younger now, how young I could not say
I am younger now, how young I could not say

  • Just found this video after purchasing this guitar, and had to play it. Its a fantastic song, sang to perfection and with lyrics that actually mean something, as opposed to other music today... 5 star! xx

  • One word for this duo. Awesome. I really love the guitar work. Sounds so real. Like it is in the room with me. Way cool stuff. Thanks for your creative vision. Sometimes it is a pleasure visiting a channel for the first time and truly loving what you see. Here is my sub. I will definitely be back. Thanks.

  • It holds to the higher tones rather nicely I think. I've an epiphone les paul that leans to the bass tones so I wanted some balance and the Godin works for me. Thanks for listening.
