Dashcam video of the DUI arrest of then Utah Senate majority leader Sheldon Killpack. This shows the Highway Patrol trooper's initial questioning and the entire field sobriety test. (Some long pauses edited out for length.)
His father was murdered by a drunk driver. His blood alcohol level was .11 - way over the legal limit. Those are two indisputable facts. He HAD to do the right thing and plead guilty. I don't know how he could have lived with himself otherwise.
I was almost killed by a drunk driver. He is drunk so i say thanks for getting him off the road. I am lucky but i know many who didn't survive but the drunk did.
I'm a clinical RN and see LOTS of drunk people. For those of you who think he wasn't impaired, I have a simple ? after watching this video: Do you think if Sheldon asked the trooper for the 30th time to watch the video he would've been allowed to ?
Sheldon lied to the Trooper several times. He was obviously impaired. The video shows his impairment. His blood came back over the limit. Now what does Sheldon do? He and his defense attorney try to get favors from the AG's office and whomever else he thinks he can sway. You are not above the law Sheldon. Instead of trying to beat the system just man up for what you have done. You know you are guilty. Time to pay the price.
Wow you guys are low lifeless brats. I know Sheldon and hes a great guy. You guys have no right to judge. Ya, he made a mistake, we all do. you dont even know him. So pull your head out of your butt and get a life. Idiots.
Now that this has gone to trial and Killpack is trying to get the evidence tossed out due to no probable cause for the stop, I'd like to see the tape of his truck crossing the line as the trooper testified.
I'm so sorry to hear about how the UHP treated you Raymond, after you stopped this 1055 driver. I wish you luck my friend see you at work.

That's a University of Utah hat he's wearing. A lying drunk ute? Yeah, that sounds about right.
