first couple times i watched this, i thought he was doing this on cue. but then i read the description... that horse must have some massive hindquarters for being able to keep himself steady! also, incredible props to the rider! i guess at that point, there's not much you can do but grab mane and wait for it to be over!

@juliecoolyful You are absolutely right...can you believe there are people saying should bend his neck while in air! Chazot no longer rears...took time and patience...he has wonderful mind.

I'll bet this was terrifying! I thought in the first rear he was going to flip over on you. The only reason he didn't was because of some great riding!! Some of the people on here just yank on their horse's mouth, then wonder why they get crushed.

He did exactly was he was suppose to do.... I was just explaining to my son different rearing senerios and watching some of these very inexperienced riders yank on their already rearing horses mouth?! Only to get the obvious answer... a 1200 pnd animal on top of you! ugh...I see now he was not cued to rear he kinda half sucks up first, excellent riding English tack none the less :)
