You guys should have Governor Buddy Roemer (R-LA) on your show. His main campaign theme is getting the money out of politics. He does not except any PAC money (the only candidate in the race who refuses to do so). You guys have mentioned all the GOP presidential candidates except for him. I know he has no chance of winning but he the one bright voice in a field filled with clowns.

the reason the public is so 'woefully uninformed' is simple: they don't care about politics.
the idea that they are too poor/busy to follow politics is nonsense. they aren't too poor or busy to follow american idol or the real housewives of new jersey. if people spent their free time studying rather than browsing facebook or watching reality tv, they could very well get informed. most normal people find politics to be boring and toxic hence, they don't spend a lot of time on it.

I don't know much about Roemer, but that sounds commendable. We would get rid of a lot of corruption when we get rid of special interest money in politics.
