  • KB's a 2.1. It's a very conservative setup, since the heat involved w/o an intercooler means timing has to be scaled way back, especially since it's used mostly on the street. Only 8# boost as well. I've since thrown alcohol injection at it to try to cool it down, but it still runs hotter than heck. If I had to do it all over again, I'd have gone twin turbo, though at least I'd picked it up used on eBay and saved $1k.

  • Cool. I ask because I have the same basic setup minus the heads and gears. I just got mine back from the dyno and WOW. What a difference the KB blower makes. Do you have any drivability problems with yours at all?

  • The only driveability issue is traction (old gatorbacks don't like torque). Other than that, it idles great and runs really smooth--a lot of that has to do with the tuner & the MAF, which I forgot to mention in the mod list. I'm using the 90mm Lightning MAF. Ford MAF's generally help the car's manners greatly, from what I've heard.

  • What perfomance mods do you have besides the supercharger?

  • Trick Flow heads & 1.6 roller rockers, GT40 lower intake, equal-length shorty headers, hi-flow catted h-pipe, flowmaster 2-chambers, 1" phenolic spacer, 3.73 gears, walbro 347 in-tank fuel pump, 42lb. injectors, cold air induction. That's it as far as straight line--full suspension in progress (upgraded parts w/stock geometry). Gonna need to get some brakes soon...

  • Please tell me that this is a 1.5 KB and not the 2.2. I'd hate to see a 3-4k$ blower only increase your HP by 50hp over what you'd get with the engine setup you have.

  • What size kenne bell ? 1.5 or 2.1

  • Nice. I have a 95 Forest Green Vert just like that. Planning on slapping a KB on it with meth/water injection eventually. Gonna do HCI first, though.

  • what kenne bell are you running?im getting a 95 gt with the 1.5l kb on it and am curious as to what numbers she might be putting down?

  • i like your setup, im wanting to put the flowzilla on my 94, im wanting to put afr165 heads on instead of tfs and stroking it to a 306 with forged internals to handle the boost, i hope i end up with a torque curve like that!

  • I've done all that and had a custom tune. I think it may be in my transmission because I get a wavering vibration when I'm in 5th gear. I've noticed it's most prevalent at 75 MPH, but it does it at all speeds in 5th.
