Yes, That seems to be the concensus among the inhabitants. I suppose it depends upon whether you ask a local, or look at a map. Südtirol certainly has a flavor entirely its own, and the residents are justifiably proud.

The Ritt was established in 1983 to honor Oswald von Wolkenstein and to highlight the history, heritage and beauty of the area.
