This a step by step walk through in setting up a client bridge and repeater bridge using DD-WRT firmware on both routers
I have WRT54GS v.7 as primary and WRT54GS v.5 as secondary
as for firmware I am alway updating my firmware

  • Perfect tutorial. Follow the instructions step by step, meanwhile pressing the pause key.

    When confuring the router as a repeater bridge, wait some additional minutes before it works.

  • Working on a 1.84km bridged link. Decided to use DD-WRT & the Linksys routers instead of spending $1000+ on Cisco equipment. If it works well I will be doing it several more times in different directions. Thanks for the video.

  • if u put good antenna u can reach 30 KM, enjoy reading on google ;)

  • With the wireless routers you have in the video, how far can they be apart and still get a good signal? and will the speed be compromised in any way?

  • Thanks for your help. I had to change the settings of my 1st router, it may not work on automatic channel, it didn't work for me.

    So I've selected a random channel. 9 for me, and followed your steps and it WORKED.
