  • from the most high great stuff

  • nice english reggae

  • I now live in essex, hackney was a bit rough in the 70's but it also had a good spirit. london is now ruined with all these bloody gangs. They all need to listen to reggae and chill out. Everyone takes life too serious now

  • I grew up in hackney in the 70's and there was a lady who lived in a flat above my mum and dads, she was always having parties till all hours. I remember her playing reggae all night. drove my mum and dad mental....... I was only 11, but i can remember dancing in my bedroom all night. amigo is still shit hot to this day

  • the gabicci you saved forever for on,mk2 cortina you hoped looked like a 1600e,rodigan on the sharp radio drivin to peoples praed st with a crakin girl next to you...few cans of red stripe, peach canei + half bottle of rum in the boot! it was always gonna be ...fanx 4 takin me back where i belong

  • I just phoned my pal, and he answered 'hey AMIGO'..which, in Scotland, isn't usual AT ALL lol..and I started singing this song, which I haven't thought about or heard in years and years....he said I was making it up, so now I will send him this link....anyway...thanks for posting this...what a great, chilled out, happy tune...it's like musical sunshine :)

  • There's always the sublime lurking in memories of wonderful songs like this. I was in my mid-20's listening to Black Slate. Love, pure love. A reggae style that conjured up feelings of love, a love that did fly, that was only too aware of its own tenuous existence.

  • Never did have the 12 inch extended version of this great track. Had to make do with the 7 inch 4 minute single. We had a lot of reggae like this back in the late 70's and early 80's, Aswad, Eddy Grant, Bob Marley, Janet Kay, Third World,..such memories of when I was a teenager. What happened to this style of reggae. Did Rap take over what?

  • wow a blast from the past.

  • as the late 70's and the 80's where the best of 'pop'music, so the reggae from these years where unnegotiable the best of all times.

unforgettable. bring me back memories of my years as a teenager. that time i only listened to reggae music. stiill had all those vinyl lp's and singles.
