By Request: Arwen Battle Braid

OMG. Even though I'm putting this up, I'm still betting I get at least a dozen more requests to do this braid. Anywhoodle, it took so danged long that even with the new 15 minute time limit, I still had to split it up. It was ringing in at 23 minutes even after the editing, so I said, whatever, and split it up. Sorry about that but it couldn't be helped.
BTW, you're gonna need a hour to do this one up right. No kidding.

how long did it take you to grow your hair this long??? im sure you get asked this all the time

@033emmie From chin to waist took about 6 or 7 years...it took another three to get to tailbone because I had to grown out layers which required a lot of trims for a time. If you aren't as tall as I am (6ft) then it shouldn't take you quite so long. :o)

Not finished watching yet, but thank you SO much for showing clearly how to do a parimiter braid properly. I've been trying to take hair from the wrong side all this time! Got it now, I think.

@ArrowOdenn Always take from under and add to the "front" side. That seems to work best. I just may put up a tutorial on one big perimeter braid to clarify how it's done. I can actually make THAT one look good. As a matter of fact, I'll think I'll do that one sometime next week, so you won't have to wait too long. :o)

Hi Torrin, you probably know this already, but there are a few really great shots of the braid on the appendices to the Two Towers on the new bluray edition of LoTR. Liv Tyler has her back to the camera for a good 30 seconds while she's talking about a shot. It looks really close to yours!
