That's all relative. FSX is only laggy if you don't have the hardware for it. If you do, it runs perfectly fine with any number of addons, no lag at all.

Are you using something like EzWalk for external views while flying or are you using a chase plane without a VC? If so, what aircraft would that be?

Yeah suppose, but FSX requires much more specs than FS2004 even on high settings...

That's one way of doing it, yeah. Another way is using FS recorder (google it).
