In the jungle-clad mountains of the Sierra Nevada, Colombia, we visited a cocaine lab run by a coca farmer. How do you make cocaine? Take some coca leaves, a number of nasty substances, add some bullets, some scary para-military soldiers, a dash of guerrillas, some corrupt cops and a pinch of coca farmer, and you've got one of the world's deadliest drug cocktails.
Produced by Wanderlusts for LonelyPlanet.tv.

  • Do you get a free sample at the end?

  • One small hit of that pure blow could stop your heart. No one except the locals and first in line cartels are lucky to get the strongest coke found in the world. Once u get it, its like a can of soda watered down with ten gallons of water...def not the same purity. Worst drug to ever hit american streets. Crime, welfare abuse, rape, tragity and waste of tax money fighting it. God knows what that small batch of coke will cause with the after effects

  • i'd have to sew my pockets up on one of these trips lol !

  • great video.

  • @okus its not the coke itself that destroys stuff, its the stupid people that use it. Like you for example :D

  • I bet that stuff mixes up real nice in a spoon

  • @MajorComedown Jesus... that must of fucked you up haha

  • Stupid druggies ruining Colombia reputation and culture.

  • Simple aqueous extraction method. The gasoline takes no part in the final product. Sulphuric acid is cheap and only harmful when concentrated. The final product requires heat lamps to remove residual water (hence the paste that you see). This is a demo 'lab' designed to illustrate the goings on of Tayrona national park. I trekked to Ciudad Perdida in 2008 and would highly recommend it to anyone. We smoked the paste in rolled up toilet paper packaging.
