@AnamiLoka Yes correct. I recommend when at first trying to learn to execute a punch from the hip, doing the boxing method. That way its easier to feel the gain of power you get from the hip. After you recognized it, use it in the wing chun punch.
@fafner3d ideally, your fist should have connected with the target Before you completely extend, You risk hyper extension on your elbow, and its practically hard to actually hit your target at the exact same point you completely extended your arms, any later and all power is lost
I'm wondering, should one not completely extend the arm at any point during a straight punch? I find it hard to generate the proper power without extending completely.
