Muslims across the world are celebrating Eid and rich foods are a big part of the celebrations. But consuming such food regularly can cause serious weight gain, not just in adults but also in children. Researchers are now confirming that being overweight in adolescence increases the risk of being severely overweight in adulthood. Doctors say obesity often opens the gate to further health consequences, such as diabetes, high blood pressure and risk of heart disease. A recent study shows the odds of being morbidly obese are also greater among women than men.
