  • @kd8ux Sounds like it's had a hard time! Hope you can get it sorted, pretty sure Tanglewood will be sending the correct saddle. There's only ever been two types of B-Band EQs on that model and both will use the same saddle.

  • I bought a TW-155as that is electro acoustic. Does that model have a proprietary saddle ?

  • @kd8ux I don't believe the TW-155AS ever came fitted with a pick up, there is a TW115-CE with a cutaway and pickup. Did you buy it new kd8ux? It's possible a pick up was fitted afterwards.

  • @musicianscentre Well this one says TW-155AS and is a cut away jumbo with a b-band pickup. According to the inside label that is what it is.

    #4084101082

that is the serial number. Do the Tanglewood b-band electonics use a proprietary saddle ?

  • @kd8ux Aha, yes, sorry, getting my TW115s and TW155s mixed up.

I'll double check this but I believe the saddle with B-Band pickups are proprietary, that is you HAVE to use their saddle. I'll double check this with our guitar tech but I believe that is the case.

  • Bottom line is ,I got a decent deal on this guitar because someone was uninformed about b-band saddles and tried to set it up traditionally. His loss,my gain.

  • @musicianscentre So i ordered a saddle fromTanglewood and I HOPE they send the right saddle.I know what a b-band saddle looks like as I have had to do the same thing with a Takamine. So I kind of modified the saddle and with everything turned on full I can hear the guitar through the amp.But nothing near usable.I now know what the problem is.You should see this guitar.Whomever did this really tore it apart trying to fix it.Missing battery cover, loose end pin jack.
