General Hospital 1985 Asian Quarter Part 25

Part 25. Felicia sits down at the Tea House where she meets Jade (played by Tia Carrere!). She orders tea and "dim sum" (yes, just "dim sum"... for those of us in the know...this is rather amusing...especially her explanation of what dim sum is. Oh well... at least it wasn't chicken balls.) Jade and Felicia realize that they attended some classes together. (oh...they apparently don't have utensils in the tea house...) Jade reads Felicia's tea leaves. She predicts a romance, handsome lover, not a smooth voyage with this man but there's an obstacle. She also sees a bed. Felicia just bought one. Felicia leaves without eating but Jade wraps up her "dim sum" in a napkin. (No take out containers?) Jade's brother, Kim arrives for some tea. Frisco then arrives and asks Jade about Felicia. Kim sees Frisco and leaves before Frisco sees him. Robin is learning how to rollerskate on the docks (why there???). Robin wants to solo and skates too close to a shifty Asian guy who knocks Robin over. The body guard arrives too late. Anna carries Robin to Kellys where Buzz treats her scraped knees. Buzz offers Robin a bandage or ice cream or both. Robin's not stupid, she takes both. Buzz suggests knee pads and a helmet which Anna says would probably spoil it for her (wow, things have changed since the 80's). Buzz drives them home.

Sorry for all the editorial comments. This clip struck me as pretty funny. LOL

I heard or read something like Tia Carrere didn't want to kiss the Asian actor because she didn't find him attractive? Or maybe she just didn't find Asian Men attractive. If she felt that way, that's very disrespectful and rude on her part.

I hope that's not true and she does have respect for Asian Men actors.

If someone didn't watch the show back then and they are viewing these clips, they might get the impression that Dr. Webber and Buzz are an item. They are together in nearly every clip from this time frame. Man, I miss this show. The writing was so much better then.
