  • @faviosan1 Your Correct but under UN law they can choose a country of their choice to ask for protection and trade and that would still be the UK.So basically we'll still have military bases there and still claim the oil.

  • @MrDeludedPenguin They can declared themself's independent and under UN law choose a country of their liking to trade with and ask for defence which would still be British.

  • There is nothing to defend. If the Kelpers wish to gain Independence which would in my opinion be a foolish move but regardless if they did that would ultimately solve the issue. Until something distracts the UN that is and Argentina gets to do what it likes.

Anyway this whole issue has only been brought to the forefront due to the oil being discovered. Argentina only claim is proximity.

If that is a valid claim there would be no end to world war.

  • @winstonchurchil1945 it's not the same case because the united states is a nation its independent you can't have it back, but the falklands are not a nation but a land in dispute if the kelpers get their independence fron britain, then argentina will have to stop claiming the land because they would become a nation

  • @cosmictimes (WTF?????)

I was REVIWING THE SAME AS YOU but using SARCASM...

    You Know?

As "making a list of foreign territories (like Falkland) that are CLOSE to some other BIG COUNTRY (like Argentina) but DOESN´T MEANS that that country must rule over that little territory..." ??

Anyway... you say that "arguing with you lot is like arguing with a kithcen utensil"... at least this fork would have recognized if someone was using sarcasm to back me...

    Peace!

  • Britain are keeping our falkland islands if they like it or not :D

  • the malvinas is a french name not spanish in origin due to a french fishing settlement......they want the oil......they are blinded by their own distortion of history

  • We will NEVER hand the islands over, you can invade if you like.. you will be trampled
