How to make a minecraft vanilla server MAC: Easy, Fast, Efficient style!

Quick tutorial on making a vanilla server for Mac, hope this helps. This technique generally comes from starting a bukkit server up as well, however this way is much more efficient than the normal way.

Here is the code to Copy and Paste into terminal:
java -Xincgc -Xmx5120M -jar minecraft_server.jar

"xmx_____M" represents the amount of memory given to your server, if you desire more or less... change the number!

to get your ip type in ifconfig to your terminal. if you want to be lazy like me type in localhost (no spaces) in the ip bar in Mc.
