There seems to be a lot of nostalgia going around these days: Bond films, and other anniversary events 50 years after 1963. This song was, what...1961? Those were days of style and urban elegance that will never come back. My thanks to you, Hepburn, Mancini, George Peppard, all the others that contributed to the scene as it was in those days. We'll never see your likes again.

You just called someone narrow minded after using an American and Christian stereotype. Nice.

i agree with looterish those were the days of quality movies the fashion the style and all of it though the fashioned of the 60s seems to be going back a bit but nothing beats the original fashion trend of that timeand place.

I always cry at the end of this movie! Oh, well, back to my Jihads and Fatwas...

I'm saying that's what nostalgia is. It's re-imagining the past as being somehow better than it actually was. It starts with the fact that we don't know anything about these icons as people, then with older people telling us all the time about how much better things were back then. There were just as many stupid people then and while Jersey Shore wasn't around I'm fairly sure they had something they hated too. I'm sure Trump is nostalgic for anytime when people actually cared what he said.

You reckon people are gonna look back at us in 2013 and say, "ah, such nostalgia, what an elegant age that was"? Well, maybe Donald Trump might...

And they said the same thing about starts of the Silent era.

In 50 years time people will be looking back at our time and think the same of some (although I do admit, I don't hope all) of them.

I love the irony of this flick. Hepburn playing a character that was based on Capote himself: an alcoholic homosexual midget (okay, a fairly tall midget).

What is that I smell? Pungent? acrid? Ah, yes, the bitter scent of envy. "Japs"?

And you counsel us to be "open"?

Oh my, you are a piece of work--that is not a good thing BTW.
