@SpaceandJoy The actual "point" of this exercise is to engage the core, not for any religious reasons. I'm quite familiar with regular prostrations but haven't seen anyone perform them on a flat surface without using the arms to assist, nor only using one leg, etc. Please send a link, I'd love to see it.
Interesting way to exercise indeed, but that's not the point of doing prostrations. Also, when we practice them, we usually do it on the flat floor, not on a raised surface. Using a plank that stands up a bit is actually considered cheating it a bit, and is usually done by older women :)
Mr Horn. I saw this in the article you did a long time ago in Kung Fu Magazine and tried like heck to find more info to no avail. Then years later I just stumbled onto you here at youtube. How can one acquire instruction on learning this dynamic qigong? Thx.
Michael I love this exercise, you are truly an innovative healer and master of how to allow energy to flow and activate energy flows that facilitate physical and spiritual expansion.

Very cool! We used to do this in a Qigong class, with a flat, smooth board & a scarf or blanket to slide the hands. You make it look easy!

I suppose you could use a rolling pin on a bare floor, or on a board with one end raised a little.

Not at this time. The board itself isn't that hard to make, the technique takes practice and patience.
