Beirut - No Longer The Hizbullah Nerve Center

The Dahiya neighborhood in Beirut, that used to house the Hizbullah headquarters was totally destroyed in last summer's war, and is now being rebuilt anew. This time however, the new neighborhood will house expensive apartments and planners have gone to great lengths to portray the new area as a pleasant and calm neighborhood. Realising that it can no longer hide behind the civilian population in any future confrontations, Hizbullah has been forced to build its headquarters elsewhere, far away from populated areas.08/27/07
