Thank you so much for this video! I've been having a lot of trouble with this, but you explained it perfectly and I'm just glad my ribbing actually looks like ribbing now! Thank you again!!

~Whew~ I thought I'd never get this knit2 purl 2, thanks so much for showing the difference between the two, you are the first tutorial I have found so far that helped me to understand.
I've tried knitting this rib stitch for a while, but it just doesn't come out right. Whenever I turn my work around, the stitches are different. So I'd have a knit stitch on one side, and a purl stitch on the other, and I don't get the nice elasticity; it comes out all flat. I know I'm doing something wrong, but I just can't figure out the problem. I don't think I'm knitting the stitches wrong; I think I'm just doing the method wrong. Do you have any ideas?

@summergirl26 you are not knitting the knits and purling the purls. This is very easy...if you K2 P2 on side one, when you turn your knitting you will P2 K2...you knit your knits and purl your purls.

Are purl stitches supposed to be looser than knit stitches in ribbing?

@patricia67252 no they are not. It's your tension you need to work on.
