I found it easier to poke the hole first, with a toothpick, put one eyelet on the toothpick and then poke the toothpick through - the eyelet will be perfectly lined up and the second eyelet will be in the right place too.

They fit pandora and chamilla.
They are 8mm grommets, thats what they are called. Just bought some off ebay.
